School Complex - Doha - Qatar
TARSHEED DOHA SCHOOL
Creating a sustainable building was a fusion of old-school building techniques and modern technology in the design for the Tarsheed School Complex. The School is extremely energy efficient thanks to its use of cooling methods traditionally found in buildings in the hot-dry desert climate of Hot and Humid Regions. Situated in Doha, Qatar, the finished structure is a sight to behold and looks like…
Using Screens, Sunken Yards, Courtyards, and a unique exposure is the initial ideas for creating this school to be a new texture in its context.
A modular form with a thin skin helps the project to be a simple mass exposing its form to the neighborhood. The school complex is designed to achieve a Gold on LEED and to reach all its future needs.
All white volume, installs as one single piece, pretending apparently dense and compact, although it partially opens into three of the four sides.
